Grief + Loss

When loss changes everything.

Grief isn't just emotional.

It changes your sleep, appetite, energy, concentration, digestion, relationships, movement — and the way you experience your own body.

You may feel exhausted but unable to rest. Foggy. Heavy. Disconnected. You may be trying to keep up with work, family, and everyday life while feeling like the rest of the world has moved on without you.

Grief is personal. And you don't have to figure everything out at once.

At ægret, we look at grief through both the physical and emotional experience of loss, helping you care for yourself while making space for what you're going through.

You don't have to arrive knowing what you need. We'll meet you where you are.

Four areas we may explore

01 — REGULATE

Find steady

Create a little safety and steadiness in your body. We look at sleep, nourishment, gentle movement, rest, and the small things that can help you feel more grounded.

02 — FUNCTION

Find your footing

Find your footing when life keeps moving. We build simple routines and realistic supports around your changing capacity, without expecting you to simply "get back to normal."

03 — BECOME

Explore what's next

When you're ready, begin exploring what's next. Who are you now? What matters to you? What do you want your life to look like? The goal isn't to get back to who you were, but to discover who you're becoming.

04 — RETURN

When grief returns

Grief doesn't have a finish line. Anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, places, songs, or unexpected moments can bring it close again — even years later. We develop your own ways of meeting those moments, so they don't have to feel like starting over.

Grief isn't linear.

You may move between these areas again and again.

You might feel like you're doing well and then find yourself suddenly back in the fog. That's not failure or regression. It's part of how grief works.

The goal isn't to make grief disappear. It's to learn how to care for yourself when it surfaces — and build a life that has room for both what you've lost and what comes next.

Loss takes many forms.

Grief can follow the death of someone you love, but it can also come with divorce, the end of a relationship, job loss, a change in identity, becoming a caregiver, or a future that no longer looks the way you expected.

What to expect

Grief coaching is not about following a program or moving through grief on a timeline. It's about having support as you find your footing, make space for what you've lost, and learn how to care for yourself as life changes.

Grief coaching is not therapy or an emergency service. If you're in crisis, call or text 988.

Your coaching may include

  • 3-, 6-, or 12+ month program
  • 50-minute 1:1 coaching sessions weekly or bi-weekly
  • Support for the physical and emotional sides of grief
  • Gentle guidance around sleep, nourishment, movement, and rest
  • Space to talk through changes in identity, relationships, capacity, and what comes next
  • Support when a reminder brings grief close again
  • Practical tools and resources between sessions
  • Email check-ins and messaging support

Wherever you are right now, that's where we meet you.

We'll spend 30 minutes talking about what's going on, what you'd like to change, and what kind of support might make sense.
